The Heart is Not a Size is out today and it’s time to celebrate! There are some beautiful ideas explored in this novel, and chief among them are friendship, charity, and love and love – we invite you to join The Heart is Not a Size Contest.
The title of the book tell us that the “heart is not a size”…but just what is it? In The Heart is Not a Size, Georgia, Riley, and Drake express their hearts and their friendships creatively and in various ways, like photography, the making of jewelry, and poetry. We want to know how you express heart!
The idea is simple. Tell us what heart means to you through your favorite form of creative expression. It can be a picture (i.e. of your kids, your dog, your favorite food, but be creative!), a poem (it’s national poetry month!, don’t be shy we want to read your words!), a collage, or something else that you create to show us heart. Enter in one of two ways. You can send us your submission at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll post it on this blog or you can post it on your blog and send us the permalink to your entry. We’ll look over all the submissions and choose our ten favorites. We’ll post these on the blog so that you can choose the top three and Beth will take it from there, and decide on the winner!
The prize is this beautiful fair trade necklace from Ten Thousand Villages (valued at $44) and a signed copy of The Heart is Not a Size. (Don’t know what fair trade is? Learn more here) Entries will be accepted from March 31st to April 30th. We look forward to seeing your hearts!
